B410d / 91642801Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

A compatible USB computer needing automatic Legal duplex without integrated networking or scanning.

The main tradeoff

Ethernet is not included. Special media use the single-sheet feed; more bulk capacity requires an optional drawer.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the 120 V B410d automatically print both sides of Legal paper over computer USB?

Yes, with eligible paper and the compatible driver procedure documented in the original guide.

A USB document printer with automatic two-sided output

The OKI B410d is an earlier monochrome LED printer with a 250-sheet ordinary cassette and an individual-sheet manual feed. Its useful role is direct printing from a compatible computer, with automatic duplex included. It is a dedicated printer rather than a scanner, copier or fax.

This review covers the black 120V B410d, part 91642801. The B410dn is a separately ordered network configuration. The d suffix should not be used as a shortcut for assuming that both versions include the same interfaces.

Automatic Legal duplex is supported under the original conditions

The original automatic-duplex procedure names Letter, Legal 13, Legal 14 and A4. It specifies suitable paper in the 60–105gsm range and describes selecting the source and automatic long-edge or short-edge binding in the compatible Windows PCL driver.

That gives the B410d a verified automatic Legal routine, rather than relying only on Legal appearing in a general supported-paper list. The permission is still specific: envelopes and other unsuitable media should not use automatic duplex, and a general custom-size capability does not confirm every custom sheet for two-sided output.

The hand-feed path is not another bulk drawer

The cassette holds 250 ordinary sheets. A separate manual feed accepts a single sheet for its instructed handling routine. We use the cassette's 250 sheets for the bulk-input comparison, rather than describing the one-sheet slot as an additional stackable tray.

A 530-sheet second cassette is optional. Its capacity and extra installation size should only be counted when the actual offer includes it. For envelopes or heavier suitable stock, follow the named feed path, loading direction, driver media setting and output instructions. A wide media list does not remove those handling conditions.

Choose the network version when an Ethernet cable is essential

The original US table identifies the B410d's USB computer connection and assigns the built-in Ethernet print server to dn configurations. The detailed interface chapter also identifies the network variants. An introduction's inconsistent family wording should not add an Ethernet interface to this exact d model.

A computer-managed sharing arrangement would be different from a built-in network printer. Wi-Fi, native AirPrint, Mopria and a verified PIN-release workflow are not established by the reviewed sources. If Ethernet is essential, compare a documented network model such as the B420dn, which also changes the included paper supply.

Its language and speed declarations are model-specific

The original guide declares 30 pages per minute on Letter and 28 on A4 for one-sided output. These are manufacturer figures, not our timed results, automatic-duplex rates or complete application-job measurements. The 50,000-page maximum duty cycle is not a sustained monthly recommendation.

PCL and the documented legacy Epson and IBM emulations may matter to an established software environment. PostScript 3 is assigned to the B430 configuration in the family material, so that feature should not be borrowed for the B410d. Check current driver availability for the actual computer rather than assuming that an old Windows or Mac list establishes support today.

Check the physical edition and supplies before choosing an older model

The original US brochure gives a body of 14.5×15.6×10.6 inches and 24lb, before the optional second cassette. Leave additional room for the hand-feed path, rear output, paper, cables and maintenance. The 120V edition is distinct from the separately listed 220V model.

Toner and image drum are separate components. The brochure declares a 1,500-page starter and 3,500-page replacement toner; larger cartridge declarations in the same family material belong to other models. Confirm actual compatible supplies, machine condition and current prices. Those historical yields do not establish remaining life or today's cost per page.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Declared one-sided output is 30 ppm Letter and 28 ppm A4. The 70000-page duty ceiling is separate from a recommended monthly workload.

Paper handling

The cassette holds 250 ordinary sheets; the single-sheet hand feed is a separate path. A 530-sheet drawer is optional. Automatic Letter/Legal 13/14/A4 duplex requires suitable 60–105 gsm stock; envelopes use manual feeding.

Scanning arrangement

Dedicated monochrome LED printer without scanning, copying, fax or document-feeder hardware.

Computer and mobile connections

The B410d has documented computer USB printing. The exact US interface table and detailed LAN chapter reserve standard Ethernet for network variants. Wireless, native mobile protocols and PIN release are unconfirmed.

Supplies and declared yields

The US brochure separates the 1500-page starter, 3500-page replacement toner and usage-dependent drum declaration. Larger sibling cartridges and current remaining-life claims are not assigned.

Software and support

PCL and legacy emulations are documented; the B430 PostScript column is not transferred here. Check present driver compatibility separately from historical software lists.

Electrical edition and setup

US black 120 V part 91642801 differs from the 220 V and networked variants. Body: 14.5 × 15.6 × 10.6 inches, 24 lb without the optional tray. Allow paper, rear output, cable and service access.
