Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can compatible USB use color Letter flatbed scans and automatic Legal duplex printing?
Yes, in the documented separate print and scan routines. Legal output support does not imply a Legal-size glass.
Explore this need in the finder →Does automatic print duplex provide an automatic original feeder?
No. The exact scanner is flatbed-only, so an ADF requirement is not met.
Explore this need in the finder →Does60000 maximum duty confirm a 4000-page recommended monthly workload?
No. The published recommended monthly maximum is 3500 pages; duty is a separate figure.
Explore this need in the finder →Automatic print duplex, with a flatbed scanning tradeoff
The Pantum M6702DW is a monochrome multifunction printer that combines automatic two-sided printing with a color flatbed scanner. It is a sensible comparison when regular double-sided documents matter, but scanning mostly means placing an individual page or book opening on the glass.
There is no automatic document feeder on this exact model. A shared M6700/M6800/M7100 family guide contains instructions for other machines with feeders and fax; those sections do not add either component to the M6702DW. The exact US product specification identifies the actual flatbed-only, print/copy/scan configuration.
The print engine and scanner support different document sizes
The maker declares 32 pages per minute on Letter and 30 on A4 for one-sided printing. Its original guide confirms automatic plain-paper duplex on Letter, Legal and A4, with the duplex-unit slide adjusted for the selected paper group. The one-sided rate is not a measured duplex-print speed.
The glass measures 216×297mm for originals. Letter and A4 scanning are documented; full Legal scanning is not established by the separate Legal printing path. Someone digitizing long sheets or repeated stacks should choose a model with the appropriate feeder rather than assuming the larger output paper solves the scanning requirement.
A 250-sheet cassette and a one-sheet feed do different jobs
The included cassette holds 250 ordinary sheets under the documented stock condition. A separate manual path accepts one sheet, which makes the total 251 across the two paths. It is not a 251-sheet cassette or a multipage special-media tray.
The manual feed is useful for an occasional envelope, label or other instructed medium, with the matching type, size and weight set in the driver. The original table separates cassette and manual-feed stock limits, so special media should not be treated as ordinary duplex paper merely because the machine can print on it through another route.
Check the scanning route when choosing the connection
USB computer, Ethernet and Wi-Fi are standard on the DW model. The original panel Scan to PC procedure explicitly requires USB. Its network scan-to-FTP workflow is separate and requires the destination service, address book and credentials to be configured.
Our USB plan and network plans therefore describe different supported arrangements. This matters if a buyer expects one panel button to save directly to a computer over every connection. Compatible pull-scanning software may offer another route, but the review does not silently borrow an unverified network shortcut from the USB instructions.
Mobile printing does not turn the scanner into a feeder
The exact reference lists AirPrint, Mopria and Pantum-app support, alongside Android NFC connectivity and direct wireless printing. Ordinary supported network printing can use the appropriate mobile protocol; NFC pairing is not a substitute for checking the network and app setup.
The printer's automatic duplex mechanism prints both sides of output sheets. It does not turn originals on the glass or scan a stack automatically. This is the main tradeoff against a feeder-equipped alternative when printed documents and acquired originals are both important.
Use the recommended workload and separate starter supplies
The published recommended monthly range is 750–3,500 pages. The separate 60,000-page maximum duty is not the sustained monthly recommendation. For a required workload above 3,500 pages, our finder needs a different documented recommendation rather than making this model pass using the larger ceiling.
The US page also distinguishes starter toner and drum declarations from replacement supplies. Without prices and a known offered package, those figures do not establish a running cost. The body is 415×365×310mm, and the declared 10.26kg weight excludes the cartridge. Allow additional lid, paper and service access. If telephone fax and a modest feeder matter more than automatic print duplex, compare the M6602NW; it makes the opposite tradeoff rather than serving as an equivalent model.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Declared one-sided32 ppm Letter/30 ppm A4; not an established duplex-speed figure. Automatic duplex is confirmed for documented plain Letter, Legal, A4 and other named sizes.
Paper handling
Included 250-sheet ordinary-paper cassette plus 1-sheet manual feed at the documented stock condition: 251 total across different paths, not a 251-sheet cassette. Envelopes use the instructed single-sheet manual path.
Scanning arrangement
Color flatbed216 × 297 mm supports A4/Letter originals. There is no ADF, so no automatic stack or duplex scan routine. Legal printing does not enlarge this glass.
Computer and mobile connections
Exact DW has standard USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Same-network AirPrint/Mopria are documented; NFC Android pairing and direct printing do not establish a peer-only computer-scanning route.
Supplies and declared yields
US page separates1000-page starter toner/9000-page starter drum from 1500/3000/6000 replacement toner and 12000 replacement drum declarations under ISO 19752. No remaining yield or page cost inferred.
Software and support
Panel Scan to PC is explicitly USB-only. Reviewed network computer delivery uses the original configured FTP routine, not an assumed identical panel shortcut. Check current driver and OS compatibility.
Electrical edition and setup
Body 415 × 365 × 310 mm is converted arithmetically to inches; 10.26 kg weight excludes cartridge. These are declared body references, not operating clearance. US 100–127 V, 50/60 Hz, 9 A edition and 220–240 V editions are separate.
