M6802FDWIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A small-office routine combining ordinary two-sided output, loose Legal original scans and fax in their separately supported arrangements.

The main tradeoff

The Legal scan route is the feeder rather than the smaller glass. Automatic duplex scanning is not established, and network computer destinations require their own setup.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can an ordinary Wi-Fi network routine combine color Legal feeder scans, automatic Legal output duplex and the included fax hardware?

Yes, in the separately supported routines, using the configured computer FTP destination and a separately compatible telephone arrangement.

Can its Letter/A4 glass also meet a Legal original requirement?

No. The full Legal route is the 216 × 356 mm feeder, not the 216 × 297 mm glass.

Does automatic print duplex satisfy required automatic duplex scanning?

No. The original acquisition mechanism is not established as reversing or single-pass by those separate features.

A feeder-and-fax configuration, with automatic output duplex

The Pantum M6802FDW combines monochrome printing, copying, color scanning and fax with a standard 50-sheet original feeder. It also provides automatic two-sided printing and USB/Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections. The useful combination is handling recurring document sets and loose originals in one office device.

The exact US reference documents these core functions closely alongside the M6800FDW. The suffix does not by itself establish a print-quality improvement or a better package. Compare the actual regional unit, supplied accessories, compatible computer setup and offer rather than inventing an upgrade hierarchy.

Automatic output duplex is different from scanning both original sides

The original guide confirms plain-paper automatic duplex on Letter, Legal and A4 with the proper duplex-unit slide position. The exact M6802FDW declares 32 pages per minute on Letter and 30 on A4 for one-sided output. Those figures are not a two-sided speed declaration.

The scanner has a 50-sheet ADF, but a generic automatic-feeder label and Manual Duplex Copy feature do not establish a reversing or single-pass acquisition mechanism. Our finder does not make an automatic duplex-scanning requirement pass merely because the printer has automatic output duplex.

The glass and feeder accept different originals

The exact source specifies a 216×297mm glass and a 216×356mm feeder, with color scanning. Individual Letter/A4 originals can use the glass; Legal loose sheets have the documented longer feeder route. That is a useful distinction for forms, while a bound Legal original still cannot borrow the feeder's dimensions.

The 50-original feeder capacity is also separate from the paper-input capacity. A cassette holding printed paper does not describe how many originals can be acquired automatically, and the two capacities should not be added together as one large paper-handling figure.

Computer scanning needs its stated connection routine

The original panel Scan to PC procedure explicitly uses USB. It separately describes a configured scan-to-FTP destination for network computer delivery. Our USB and ordinary Ethernet/Wi-Fi plans retain those different preparations instead of presenting the USB panel shortcut as a universal network action.

Scan-to-USB-disk is another documented destination, useful for taking files away without a computer. It is different from scanning over the USB computer cable. AirPrint and Mopria printing use their compatible network arrangement, while NFC pairing and peer printing do not independently establish every computer-scanning function.

Count the base paper supply and recommended workload honestly

The included arrangement is a 250-sheet cassette plus a one-sheet manual feed. The total of 251 describes separate paths, not a larger cassette. Envelopes and other instructed special media use the appropriate manual path and matching settings; support there is not blanket approval for automatic duplex on every medium.

The recommended monthly range is 750–3,500 pages, separately from the 60,000-page maximum duty declaration. The recommendation controls a regular monthly workload question. Its exact US body reference is 415×365×350mm and 11.39kg excluding the cartridge, with additional original, lid, paper and service access required.

Inspect fax, supplies and the offered regional machine

Fax uses its separately compatible telephone arrangement. Wi-Fi printing does not make telephone fax wireless or establish compatibility with every converted phone service. Check the intended installation and the manufacturer's applicable setup instructions.

The exact US page separates 1,000-page starter toner and a 9,000-page starter drum from replacement declarations. Do not substitute the different starter figures of another family model or assume an offered used machine retains a fresh starter set. For a closely overlapping reference, compare the M6800FDW; for a different declared Letter rate with fax, the M7202FDW changes that comparison without proving a general quality or price advantage.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Declared one-sided32 ppm Letter/30 ppm A4; not an established duplex-speed figure. Automatic duplex is confirmed for documented plain Letter, Legal, A4 and other named sizes.

Paper handling

Included 250-sheet ordinary-paper cassette plus 1-sheet manual feed at the documented stock condition: 251 total across different paths, not a 251-sheet cassette. Envelopes use the instructed single-sheet manual path.

Scanning arrangement

Exact50-sheet ADF supports 216 × 356 mm originals; glass216 × 297 mm. Color scanning is documented. Automatic duplex/single-pass feeder methods are not established from automatic print duplex or Manual Duplex Copy wording.

Computer and mobile connections

Exact DW has standard USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Same-network AirPrint/Mopria are documented; NFC Android pairing and direct printing do not establish a peer-only computer-scanning route.

Supplies and declared yields

Exact US page declares 1000-page starter toner and 9000-page starter drum, separately from TL-4101500/TL-410H3000/TL-410X6000 and DL-41012000 replacement declarations under ISO 19752. No automatic upgrade from M6800 or M7200 supply figures is assumed.

Software and support

USB panel Scan to PC is explicitly documented; network computer delivery here uses separately configured FTP rather than an assumed identical USB shortcut. Exact FDW includes fax. Check current drivers and telephone compatibility; USB-disk scanning is not USB computer scanning.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact M6802FDW US body 415 × 365 × 350 mm and 11.39 kg excluding cartridge, converted arithmetically for comparison. Allow feeder, lid, paper, cable and service access. The 100–127 V, 50/60 Hz, 9 A edition is separate from 220–240 V; fax uses its separately compatible telephone arrangement.
