M7102DNIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A workgroup with Ethernet available that needs monochrome documents and the documented color glass/Legal feeder scanning routine.

The main tradeoff

No included Wi-Fi, NFC or fax. Glass and feeder have different original sizes; automatic duplex-scanning mechanics are not established.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the wired network arrangement combine35 ppm declared Letter output, automatic duplex and color Legal feeder scans?

Yes, with the documented configured network computer destination. The one-sided print rate and original scan route are separate conditions.

Does the generic NFC header establish an included Wi-Fi radio on DN?

No. The exact DN model table says Wi-Fi No and NFC No; the reviewed computer network is Ethernet.

Does the shared family fax section mean this3-in-1 includes fax?

No. The exact model provides print, copy and scan without fax.

A wired shared-office configuration with a 50-sheet feeder

The Pantum M7102DN combines monochrome printing, copying and color scanning with a standard 50-sheet automatic document feeder. Its everyday connection choice is USB or Ethernet. The exact DN specification says no Wi-Fi and no NFC, even though generic feature text near the page header mentions NFC.

That distinction matters when selecting this model for a shared office. If an Ethernet cable is available, the documented network arrangement may fit the job. If joining the printer directly to the office Wi-Fi network is essential, choose a separately documented wireless model instead of treating the DN and DW suffixes as equivalent.

35ppm Letter output and automatic duplex are separate declarations

The exact model declares 35 pages per minute on Letter and 33 on A4 for one-sided printing. The original operation guide confirms automatic plain-paper duplex for Letter, Legal and A4 with the appropriate duplex-unit size-slide position.

The one-sided engine rate is not a measured two-sided rate. Likewise, the scanner's separate maximum declaration of 25 pages per minute on Letter or 24 on A4 describes acquiring originals, not producing output. Keeping those conditions separate makes a comparison more useful than combining every headline into a single speed claim.

Legal feeder scans do not mean Legal glass scans

The exact reference gives a 216×297mm glass and a 216×356mm feeder path, with color scanning supported. Loose Legal originals have the documented longer feeder route; individual Letter/A4 originals can use the glass. A book or other original that cannot enter the feeder still depends on the smaller glass.

The 50-sheet feeder is useful for the documented ordinary stack routine. Its presence and the printer's automatic duplex mechanism do not establish automatic two-sided scanning or a single-pass feeder. Those methods remain separate requirements rather than assumed upgrades from the model number.

Network sharing needs a specific scanning destination

The original panel Scan to PC procedure explicitly uses USB. For network delivery, the guide documents a separate configured FTP destination. Our Ethernet scanning plan therefore retains the required computer/server setup instead of borrowing the USB panel shortcut.

The exact page lists AirPrint and Mopria. A printer connected by Ethernet can support compatible devices on the same configured network without containing its own wireless radio. That is different from requiring Wi-Fi hardware in the printer, and different again from expecting a USB-only computer connection to provide wireless mobile printing.

Use the included paper arrangement and recommended workload

The standard arrangement is a 250-sheet cassette plus a one-sheet manual path. A total of 251 refers to those separate paths, not an expanded cassette. Instructed envelopes and special media use the appropriate manual-feed settings; general paper support does not establish ordinary automatic-duplex handling for every medium.

The published recommended monthly range is 750–3,500 pages, separately from a 60,000-page maximum duty declaration. The recommendation controls a sustained monthly workload requirement. The declared body is 415×365×350mm, with 11.29kg excluding the cartridge; allow additional original, paper and service access.

Check the starter package instead of borrowing a sibling's supplies

The exact US page declares 1,500-page starter toner and a 12,000-page starter drum, separately from its replacement toner options. Those are different declarations from the 1,000/9,000 starter figures shown for some related models. A previously used machine still needs its actual remaining supplies checked.

The M7102DN also lists PCL5e, PCL6, PS3 and PDF support, which is worth checking against the actual application's needs rather than assuming every Pantum uses the same print language. Compare the M7102DW when wireless hardware matters. For included telephone fax, the M6800FDW changes that function with a different declared Letter rate.

Paper, software and setup details

Print-rate conditions

Declared one-sided35 ppm Letter/33 ppm A4. Scanner maximum 25 Letter/24 A4 pages per minute is a separate acquisition declaration; no duplex-print or duplex-scan rate is inferred.

Paper handling

Included 250-sheet ordinary-paper cassette plus 1-sheet manual feed at the documented stock condition: 251 total across different paths, not a 251-sheet cassette. Envelopes use the instructed single-sheet manual path.

Scanning arrangement

Exact50-sheet ADF supports 216 × 356 mm originals; glass216 × 297 mm. Color scanning is documented. Automatic duplex/single-pass feeder methods are not established from automatic print duplex or Manual Duplex Copy wording.

Computer and mobile connections

Exact DN provides USB and Ethernet. The specific model table says Wi-Fi No and NFC No; generic NFC header wording does not override that exact configuration. Supported AirPrint/Mopria uses the ordinary network, not an included radio.

Supplies and declared yields

Exact US page declares 1500-page starter toner and 12000-page starter drum, then TL-4101500/TL-410H3000/TL-410X6000 replacement toner and DL-41012000 under ISO 19752. Do not borrow another models1000/9000 starter package.

Software and support

Exact model lists PCL5e/PCL6/PS3/PDF. Check the driver and actual application requirements. USB panel Scan to PC and configured Ethernet computer FTP are different supported scan destinations; shared family fax instructions do not add fax.

Electrical edition and setup

Exact US body 415 × 365 × 350 mm and 11.29 kg excluding cartridge are converted arithmetically for inch/pound fields. Allow additional feeder, lid, paper and service clearance. US 100–127 V, 50/60 Hz, 9 A edition is separate from 220–240 V.
