Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can a configured Ethernet computer FTP destination receive color Legal feeder scans?
Yes, in the expressly configured network FTP arrangement. Legal uses the feeder, and the USB panel Scan to PC shortcut is a separate procedure.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the exact M6550NW3-in-1 include telephone fax?
No. Its exact model scope is print, copy and scan; M6600 fax instructions in the shared guide do not add fax here.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the glass and feeder both satisfy a Legal original requirement?
No. The confirmed Legal route is the 216 × 356 mm feeder; the glass is 216 × 297 mm.
Explore this need in the finder →A feeder matters when acquiring pages is the slow part
The Pantum M6550NW is a monochrome multifunction printer with a standard 35-sheet original feeder, a color flatbed scanner and USB/Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections. Its most useful role is a modest office document routine where copying or digitizing several loose pages is frequent enough that individual glass placement becomes inconvenient.
The feeder changes original handling; it does not increase the printer's paper input or provide automatic two-sided output. Think about the pages coming into the scanner as well as the pages leaving the printer. Those are separate requirements in our finder.
Letter and A4 glass work, with Legal through the feeder
The exact source specifies a 216×297mm flatbed and a 216×356mm ADF path. Letter/A4 originals can use the glass, and the feeder provides the documented longer Legal route. That difference is useful for loose legal-sized paperwork, while a bound long original still cannot acquire a larger glass simply because the paper-output list includes Legal.
The 35-sheet feeder can handle the documented stack routine. Automatic duplex scanning or a single-pass mechanism is not established by the generic ADF label. If both sides must be acquired automatically, keep that requirement explicit rather than selecting the machine based only on the presence of a feeder.
Plan for manual intervention on two-sided output
The M6550NW specification identifies print duplex as manual. A supported two-sided procedure requires a paper reload, so it is a different experience from an automatic duplex printer making a long double-sided set unattended.
ID-card and receipt copying provide other layouts, but they do not replace an automatic duplex unit. The declared one-sided engine rate is 23 pages per minute on Letter and 22 on A4. Keep the paper condition attached when comparing those figures with another printer or with a scanner's unrelated acquisition rate.
USB and network scanning require different preparation
The original guide's panel Scan to PC procedure explicitly uses USB. It also describes a separate scan-to-FTP arrangement for network delivery, with the receiving computer/server service and destination configured. That is the actual network computer route retained in this assessment.
If several people will share the printer, decide who will maintain that destination and the compatible drivers. Simply joining the Wi-Fi network does not prove that the USB panel shortcut now saves directly to any computer. Peer wireless printing and Pantum-app support are further separate capabilities; native AirPrint or Mopria is not inferred from those labels alone.
Use the documented recommendation for a sustained workload
The exact reference recommends 2,000 pages monthly and separately lists 20,000 as maximum monthly volume. The recommendation is the published basis used for a monthly workload requirement. The larger maximum is not a way to confirm suitability for regular 5,000- or 10,000-page months.
Paper input is 150 sheets, while the output holds 100 under the stated conditions. Neither is the 35-original feeder capacity. The exact US body reference is 16.4×12.0×11.8 inches and 18.7lb with cartridges. Leave extra space to load originals, lift the glass lid, reach paper and service the machine.
Compare the exact packages rather than inventing a quality hierarchy
The M6552NW reference documents closely overlapping core functions. These sources do not establish a universal quality advantage for either model. Compare the actual regional machine, cartridge compatibility, supported computer setup and offered condition instead of assuming the suffix alone predicts a better print or scan.
For a meaningful functional change, the M6602NW adds fax, while the M6702DW supports automatic print duplex with a flatbed-only scanner. Confirm the intended electrical edition and country-dependent consumables in any offer. A declared cartridge yield is not remaining toner, a current price or a measured ownership cost.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Maker-declared 23 ppm Letter/22 ppm A4; manual print duplex is a separate reload routine. The scan-rate headline is not proof of a two-sided scanner.
Paper handling
150-sheet paper input and 100-sheet output are separate from the 35-sheet original feeder. Legal output is named, while Legal originals use the ADF rather than the smaller glass.
Scanning arrangement
Color216 × 297 mm glass and 216 × 356 mm feeder. Standard 35-sheet ADF supports the documented original routine; automatic duplex and single-pass feeder methods are not established. USB panel Scan to PC and configured network FTP remain separate.
Computer and mobile connections
USB computer, Ethernet and Wi-Fi network are standard on exact NW. The page also describes peer wireless printing; peer-only computer scanning and native AirPrint/Mopria are not inferred from Pantum-app support.
Supplies and declared yields
Exact US page identifies consumables as country-dependent P*-210 and shows PB-211 at 1600 declared pages. Verify the exact unit and cartridge; no starter assumption, current price or remaining-yield claim.
Software and support
The exact M6550NW is print/copy/scan, without built-in fax. Original panel Scan to PC uses USB; the network plan uses a separately configured computer FTP destination. Check current drivers and the intended computer rather than treating historical OS ranges as a current guarantee.
Electrical edition and setup
Exact US page gives 100–127 V, 50/60 Hz, 6 A and separate 220–240 V editions. Declared body 16.4 × 12.0 × 11.8 in/18.7 lb includes cartridges; allow lid, feeder, paper and service access. Recommended 2000 pages/month is separate from 20000 duty.
