Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can compatible USB scanning accept Legal originals through the feeder in color?
Yes. The exact model establishes the 216 × 356 mm feeder route, color scanning and 35-sheet capacity; the smaller glass is separate.
Explore this need in the finder →Does this3-in-1 provide the fax function of M6602NW?
No. Exact M6552NW scope is print, copy and scan; the shared M6600 fax section does not add a telephone fax here.
Explore this need in the finder →Can its two-sided ID-card copying satisfy automatic print duplex?
No. The exact printing duplex mode is manual, and card-layout copying is a different operation.
Explore this need in the finder →The useful upgrade is the original feeder
The Pantum M6552NW is a monochrome print/copy/scan model with a standard 35-sheet automatic document feeder. Compared with a flatbed-only machine, its useful difference is handling a stack of ordinary originals without placing every page separately on the glass. That can matter more than a small engine-speed difference when scanning and copying are frequent tasks.
The exact NW reference includes USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. It does not add telephone fax, and print duplex remains manual. Choose it because the feeder and supported connection routine fit the documents, rather than treating the multifunction label as a promise of every office feature.
Two original routes, with different size limits
The exact model specification separates a 216×297mm glass from a 216×356mm feeder. The glass supports Letter/A4 originals, while Legal originals can use the longer feeder path. For a long bound original that cannot go through the feeder, Legal printing capability does not solve the smaller-glass limitation.
The feeder holds 35 originals, independently of the printer's 150-sheet input capacity. Our matching records the documented ordinary feeder route. It does not turn a generic ADF label into a confirmed reversing or single-pass duplex-scanning method. If automatic acquisition of both sides is essential, require that exact feature rather than assuming it from the word automatic.
Manual print duplex remains a hands-on job
The M6552NW product table explicitly identifies manual duplex. A compatible two-sided printing procedure needs the user to reload paper. The ID-card copying arrangements are separate: putting two card faces into a layout does not establish an automatic output duplex unit.
The declared one-sided printing rate is 23 pages per minute on Letter and 22 on A4. Those maker figures are useful only with their paper condition attached. They are not our measured complete-job speeds, and they do not remove the reload step for two-sided documents.
Decide whether USB scanning or a configured network destination suits you
The original family guide explicitly describes panel Scan to PC over USB. Its separate network FTP instructions require the receiving computer/server service, credentials and destination to be set up. The Ethernet and normal Wi-Fi plans in this assessment retain that real requirement.
This prevents a misleading assumption that connecting the printer to a router makes every USB panel shortcut work identically. Check the available driver for the actual computer and decide whether the documented network arrangement is appropriate. Peer wireless printing is another separate capability; it is not used to invent a peer-only scanning route.
The monthly recommendation is modest despite the larger duty number
The exact reference gives a 2,000-page recommended monthly volume, alongside a separate 20,000-page maximum. For a regular monthly workload, the recommendation is the relevant figure in our comparison. Using duty instead would make the model appear suitable for a workload the published recommendation does not confirm.
The standard printer input is 150 sheets and output is 100 under the stated conditions. The declared body is 16.4×12.0×11.8 inches and 18.7lb with cartridges. Allow additional original-loading, lid, paper and cable access. These are body references, not a measured complete installation footprint.
Compare alternatives by the task that would change
The M6500NW provides an individual-original flatbed routine when the feeder is unnecessary. The M6602NW adds documented fax while retaining manual print duplex. The M6702DW changes the output tradeoff with automatic print duplex but a flatbed-only scanner.
The exact US reference lists country-dependent consumables and separate electrical editions. Confirm the offered cartridge code and 100–127V configuration rather than assuming every regional package is equivalent. No current price, supplied starter yield, remaining toner or operating cost is invented from a model name or a consumable declaration.

Paper, software and setup details
Print-rate conditions
Maker-declared 23 ppm Letter/22 ppm A4; manual print duplex is a separate reload routine. The scan-rate headline is not proof of a two-sided scanner.
Paper handling
150-sheet paper input and 100-sheet output are separate from the 35-sheet original feeder. Legal output is named, while Legal originals use the ADF rather than the smaller glass.
Scanning arrangement
Color216 × 297 mm glass and 216 × 356 mm feeder. Standard 35-sheet ADF supports the documented original routine; automatic duplex and single-pass feeder methods are not established. USB panel Scan to PC and configured network FTP remain separate.
Computer and mobile connections
USB computer, Ethernet and Wi-Fi network are standard on exact NW. The page also describes peer wireless printing; peer-only computer scanning and native AirPrint/Mopria are not inferred from Pantum-app support.
Supplies and declared yields
Exact US page identifies consumables as country-dependent P*-210 and shows PB-211 at 1600 declared pages. Verify the exact unit and cartridge; no starter assumption, current price or remaining-yield claim.
Software and support
Use compatible current computer/scanning drivers. Original panel Scan to PC explicitly uses USB; the reviewed network route requires a separately configured computer FTP destination. The exact M6552NW is 3-in-1 without M6600 fax hardware.
Electrical edition and setup
Exact US page gives 100–127 V, 50/60 Hz, 6 A and separate 220–240 V editions. Declared body 16.4 × 12.0 × 11.8 in/18.7 lb includes cartridges; allow lid, feeder, paper and service access. Recommended 2000 pages/month is separate from 20000 duty.
